Flightline does not currently have correspondents but we are frequently asked about issuing credentials to photographers/ writers to cover events. Generally requests to Flightline for credentials at base visits or to cover exercises will not be granted if there is absolutely no possibility of near term publishing. This will particularly be the case if Flightline has visited the base itself or covered and published a report on any exercise in the past. Flightline will, however, generally grant a request by a bone fide writer or photographer to cover most (but not all) airshows even if there is no current possibility of publishing. While airshows may not offer operational kinds of photographs, airshows do have an advantage in that any specially painted or even unusual aircraft is more likely to be put on display than not and Flightline would like to have coverage of these aircraft in a timely manner.
